The Honorable Adelio Angelito S. Cruz assumed the position of Consul General of the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles on 23 December 2024, a role he previously held from July 2016 to January 2021. Prior to his second posting in Los Angeles, Consul General Cruz held the position of Assistant Secretary at the Department of Foreign Affairs’ (DFA) Office of Consular Affairs. He was also designated as the Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Adviser for Foreign Affairs at the Office of the President from July 2022 – October 2023. As a veteran diplomat with over 30 years’ experience, Consul General Cruz served in various diplomatic and consular positions in the following Philippine Foreign Service Posts: Charge d’Affaires, en pied, in Tripoli, Libya; Consul General in Xiamen, China; Consul General at the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Consul at the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago.
