Jess Villarina is a seasoned banker and treasury sales executive with more than two decades of experience spanning corporate banking, treasury services, and relationship management. Operating in a $1 trillion global transaction banking industry, he has built a distinguished career advising large multinational corporations on global payments, liquidity management, working capital, and trade finance. Jess currently serves as Director and Head of Global Transaction Banking Sales, U.S., at Scotiabank in New York, where he leads a sales organization driving strategic growth and advising large multinational corporations on global payments, liquidity efficiencies to optimizing visibility and control over their global treasury operations in more than 20+ countries. Prior to his current role, Jess held a series of senior leadership positions across corporate and transaction banking organizations in New York, London, and Hong Kong. Jess began his corporate banking career through a global management training program at Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank), where he developed a strong foundation in international banking, corporate finance, and relationship management—skills that continue to shape his career and leadership philosophy today. Jess was also the co-founder and former Chairperson of Collaborative Opportunities for Raising Empowerment (CORE), Inc., a New York-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young professionals through networking, leadership development, and community engagement. Under his leadership in 2004, CORE Inc helped secure the illumination of the Empire State Building in the colors of the Philippine flag as one of the organization's most notable achievements—a landmark tribute recognizing the contributions of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans to the cultural, economic, and social fabric of the United States. Today, Jess continues to combine his passion for professional excellence and community service, serving as a mentor and leader dedicated to helping his community and various organizations, to achieve their fullest potential.
